“SURVIVOR 46” EPISODE 5 RECAP: THE ‘VIBE TRIBE’ STUMBLES
The season’s fifth episode showed the unscathed Siga tribe falter for the first time at an immunity challenge
In Survivor 46’s “Don’t Touch the Oven” episode last week, host Jeff Probst unceremoniously sent home IT quality analyst Bhanu — without any written votes cast — after the Yanu tribe verbally agreed they wanted him gone.
The fifth episode, titled “Tiki Man,” explored how the purple tribe’s remaining three members would fare against Siga’s unscathed six players and Nami’s strong quintet as the season entered double-digit days.
“We’re the worst tribe in Survivor history,” proclaimed Tiffany after returning to the Yanu camp, a sentiment that Kenzie quickly echoed alongside Q, as the trio entered day 10 still without fire.

Meanwhile, at the Siga camp, the three women in the “Charlie’s Angels” alliance — Jem, Maria and Moriah — started worrying about Charlie’s relationship with Ben and Tim and their potential guys’ alliance.
In a strategic move, Jem continued to keep her secret of having found the Beware Advantage, which might eventually lead her to an immunity idol. “I’m a fantastic liar — I just found out,” Jem said after Tim tried to pinpoint if someone on the tribe already snatched up the advantage.
At the Nami camp, the five castaways hunted for that tribe’s hidden Beware Advantage, which Venus believes is back at play after Randen’s medical evacuation. She was correct. Hunter found the advantage and learned that he won’t find out where the Nami idol is until his tribe loses an immunity challenge, which has yet to happen this season.
During the day 11 immunity challenge, Probst revealed that Yanu holds the record for most days a tribe has gone without flint. He added that if Yanu loses, they will hold the record for most immunity losses in the new era.
Yanu prevented that record from coming to fruition, finishing the challenge in second and sending Siga to their first tribal council. “Is this what it feels like to win,” an emotional Q quipped after securing immunity.

After the challenge, each tribe picked a player to go on a journey: Hunter, Q and Tim. The three bonded over being physical threats. They formed an alliance and revealed who each of their “No. 1” would be once they merged to give them the numbers. Hunter picked Tevin, Q tapped Tiffany, and Tim chose Maria because of her extra vote and their bond as parents.
The journey challenge tasked the three guys to take 20 Survivor logos and place them in sequential order. The consequence for failing the mission? Losing their vote. Hunter failed and lost his vote.
At the Siga camp, Jem earned the final clue for her Beware Advantage after her tribe lost. The clue forced her to do a mission in order to find a key to the locked immunity idol. She completed it, dug up a key from the dirt and excitedly secured her idol in time for tribal council.

A machete-wielding Jem then went into game mode, targeting Ben to vote out, while a hammer-holding Ben aimed his sights on eliminating Jem.
At tribal council, the showdown intensified and Charlie admitted the tribe was feeling the heat. While Ben entered tribal with no vote, Jem walked in with an idol and Maria had an extra vote.
Feeling safe, Jem didn't use her idol and the tribe blindsided her.
Survivor season 46 airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
